Two Events in Two Days

The conference is coming up in less than a month. If you have not already registered, do so soon to make sure a spot is reserved for you.

Want to make the most out of your trip to Columbus? Consider attending the Ohio Library Council’s IT Division Boot Camp the day after TechConnections. Both events will be held at the State Library of Ohio. This year’s boot camp will feature virtualization and gadgets.

Conference Details

Session and speaker information for this year’s conference is now available. We have a wide variety of topics with something for everyone.

This year’s opening speaker will be Helene Blowers. She recently joined the Columbus Metropolitan Library as Director of Digital Strategy. Previously, Helene was the Public Services Technology Director for the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County (PLCMC), Charlotte, NC. In her talk, she will take a look at the underlying motivations behind social networking trends in libraries.

Call for Proposals

We now accepting proposals for TechConnections 2.0.0.8. The event will take place on April 28, 2008 at the State Library of Ohio.

Take a look at last year’s sessions to see examples of past offerings and speakers. We invite you to submit proposals via email to Allison Rolfes, Continuing Education Coordinator, at allison@swonlibraries.org.

The call for proposals will close Monday, December 31, 2007.
